Use this widget if you want to check how a metric that you imported from a different data source into Cascade has performed over time. This shows the actual progress of the metric over time, and will let you analyze the course of action.
For example, revenue metrics like unit sales, revenue per region, or supply chain metrics like operational costs, procurement days, etc..
The imported metrics are available in the data source list, and when you select a metric, you can see a line chart depicting its progress. You can also add this widget in your reports from the Chart icon there. See Generate Reports for details.
The solid line connects the dots, which is the progress made by the metrics on those dates. Now, based on how the metric has performed, you can interrogate the health of your business or operational metrics in real-time, and

create measures with deadlines and target set from metric,

create actions and projects to attain those KPIs, and

define outcomes that you wish to achieve
thereby, creating your corporate, business and operational plans within Cascade to track and report over time.
